The Exel International 26730 SAFELET IV Catheter (Pen Type) is a high-quality, sterile medical device designed for the administration of fluids and drugs. It is a 16G x 1 1/4″ catheter, with a medium grey color for easy identification. This catheter is designed with a number of features to ensure smooth and comfortable insertion, including a functional design that prevents rolling, a color-coded casing cap for easy size identification, and a translucent catheter hub and flashback chamber for easy detection of blood flashback at vein insertion.
The catheter is made from precision finished FEP to ensure stable flow and prevent catheter tip kink during venipuncture. It comes in an easy dispenser pack and is radio opaque. The cannula comes with an additional back bevel and can be connected to a syringe by removing the filter cap to expose the Luer taper end.
The use of a hydrophobic membrane filter eliminates blood leakage, and the close and smooth contact between the catheter tip and inner needle enables safe and smooth venipuncture. The crimped smooth engagement between the catheter and hub, without the use of adhesive, helps eliminate blood residuals and reduces blood coagulation or hemolysis.
