One of the standout features of this catheter is its coude tip, designed for easier insertion. This product is a part of the Bardex I.C. anti-infective latex Foley catheter line, which is clinically proven to reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infections.
This is achieved through a unique formulation that incorporates a Bactiguard silver alloy coating and BD hydrogel. These materials work together to dramatically reduce bacterial adherence and minimize the formation of biofilm. As a result, the occurrence of urinary tract infections is 3.7 times lower in patients using the Bardex I.C. Foley catheter compared to those using a standard catheter.
