• Avitene Microfibrillar Collagen Hemostat is used in surgical procedures as an adjunct to hemostasis when control of bleeding by ligature or conventional procedures is ineffective or impractical. Only collagen hemostat indicated for all surgical procedures, including neurosurgery and urology. Effective in controlling arterial bleeding and in patients with platelet counts as low as 20,000 per cubic millimeter. Conforms and adheres to irregular surfaces. Easy removal with irrigation and suction reduces rebleeding and the need for multiple applications.
