The Sol-Millennium Medical 100017IM – SOL-CARE 1ml Insulin Safety Syringe w/Fixed Needle 29G, 1/2” (U-100 Insulin Only) is a top-of-the-line, manually retractable safety syringe. It is designed to prevent needlestick injuries and syringe reuse by retracting the needle into the barrel and snapping off the plunger after injection.
This syringe is designed according to ISO 8537 and ISO 23908 standards and is not manufactured with Latex, PVC, or DEHP. It provides accurate and comfortable insulin administration and is compatible with all standard hypodermic needles.
The Sol-Care and Sol-Guard safety insulin syringes feature needles engineered to ensure comfortable insulin administration and bold, clear graduated insulin unit markings for accurate dosing. They also have a low dead space design, which improves accuracy and reduces medication waste when compared to conventional syringes.
The Sol-Care model features a needle that retracts into the syringe barrel as a safety feature to prevent needlestick injuries. The Sol-Guard model has a safety shield feature that slides over the needle to prevent needlestick injuries before and after medication delivery.
The syringe is easy to use, with fingers remaining behind the needle during activation of the safety mechanism. It provides clear and bold scale markings and visual and audible confirmation of safety mechanism activation.
