The BSN Medical 30-7367 is a Gypsona S Plaster Bandage that is ideal for quick immobilization of fractures. It is made from a blend of the alpha and beta forms of calcium sulphate hemihydrate (plaster of Paris), together with binders and accelerators. The bandage is wrapped around plastic spools which are designed to allow rapid, even wetting upon immersion. Once wet, the bandage sets to form a hard rigid structure, which is both porous and absorbent. The setting time is about two minutes and the cast will be fully set in about 3-5 minutes. The bandage is 4 inches wide and 5 yards long. It is packed in a clear polythene film, which protects it from humidity and water, and then packed in a durable carton. This ensures the product is maintained in the best conditions until its use. It is recommended to store the unopened rolls of Gypsona S in a cool dry atmosphere. The product comes in a box of 12 rolls.
