Pyrogen-free
Pyrogen is any substance that causes a fever. The most commonly thought of pyrogens are bacterial endotoxins and exotoxins, although the host body (human or animal) can also produce pyrogens. The most commonly assayed for pyrogen is lipopolysaccharide, or LPS.
