The Deroyal M2028 Single-Strap Limb Holders are designed for patient comfort and secure cuff placement. These holders are made with soft, breathable foam and feature a hook closure with a seawave buckle, quick-release buckle, or double D-ring closure. The strap attaches with a quick-release (QR) buckle or tie and comes in a variety of lengths to accommodate all bed types and sizes.
These limb holders are intended to be used for patients at risk of unplanned extubations and those who disrupt medical treatment. They should not be used on patients who are or may become highly aggressive or agitated, or on patients whose I.V. or wound site could be compromised by the device.
Improper application or use of any restraint may result in serious injury or death. Therefore, it is important to secure straps to a portion of the bed or gurney that moves with the patient and not to the side rails. Straps should be kept out of patients’ reach and bed or gurney side rails should be up while the product is in use. Regular checks should be made to ensure circulation is not compromised.
This product should be fitted initially by a physician or properly licensed practitioner familiar with its intended purpose. The physician or practitioner is responsible for providing wearing instructions and precautions to other healthcare practitioners or healthcare providers involved in the patient’s care, as well as the patient. Consult your physician or properly licensed practitioner immediately if you experience sensation changes, unusual reactions, swelling, or increased pain while using this product. Follow the instructions of your physician or properly licensed practitioner for length and duration of use. The product comes in a case of 36 pairs.
